Sacred timing and expression
🌸 SAN PEDRO BLOOMS
A Message on Sacred Expression + Divine Timing
As we enter eclipse season and begin our slow transition into fall, something in the soil of life begins to shift. The last bursts of summer are giving way to deeper rhythms—more internal, more introspective. Eclipses have a way of pulling hidden truths to the surface, often in ways we don’t expect. This year, just as those cosmic doors began creaking open, our San Pedro cactus bloomed for the very first time.
With the San Pedro cactus in our front yard deciding to bloom right around the upcoming eclipses, the timing feels nothing short of divine. It’s an honor to listen to these magnificent plant allies that I've cultivated a relationship with over the years. 💚
The little fuzzy poofs started forming maybe three months ago, and at first, they just looked like the cactus was growing hair. It was hard to tell—was it a bud? Some funky new arms? Eventually, the truth revealed itself.
I planted these beauties five years ago, and they’ve grown slowly—about five inches a year. They're now just over five feet tall. San Pedro is a sacred psychedelic cactus from South America, often associated with divine masculine energy and powerful medicine.
Watching them bloom has been a lesson in patience and reverence. These flowers only bloom every five years…and when they do, it’s quick. A few days of radiance, then they gently close and fall away. I watched and waited, wondering if they would open at all.
And it got me thinking about divine timing. Sacred expression. The way we share our beauty with the world.
Sometimes it takes a long, long time to bloom.
And sometimes, we think we’ve missed our moment.
I know that feeling deeply—of wondering if something should’ve happened already, or if a door closed before we ever got to walk through it.
And then, San Pedro whispered:
🌿 Message from the San Pedro Flower:
You are enough as you are. You don’t need to produce something to be of value.
Much of growth is invisible, internal.
It's okay to be patient and wait.
Trust that what is meant to bloom will bloom—in its time.
And if it doesn’t?
Maybe that season wasn't meant for you. And that’s okay, too.
Let your instinct guide you.
When it’s time to act, do it with heart, with intention.
Make sure that intention benefits the whole, not just your own desires.
Notice the little things.
Life is magical, intricate, divinely designed.
Everything is connected—and your blooming contributes to the ecology of the whole.
Creator smiles when you express your true self with love, kindness, and generosity—or when you gently face the shadows that need movement and release.
✨ Know when it’s your time to shine—
and when it’s time to simply be. Just as you are. ✨
"As fall settles in and the veil begins to thin, I’m listening closely—not only to the plants, but to the quiet instructions of the season. There’s wisdom in waiting. And there’s beauty in blooming when the world is finally ready for you.”
